District 8 Prince George's County Council

Email Ms. Monroe
Please, present a timeline of your situation that has prevented 1 month or more of non-payment to your property management team.
The resident nearing the eviction process, in the eviction process, or the property magement team may make the request for assistance the referral to the CIO team
to Ms. Monroe
Also, include any other documents to support your request for rental assistance in PDF

Once, the Prince George's County District 8 County Council reviews your information; they will then send a request to the CIO office to review your case for assistance.
The CIO will contact the property management team and the resident to establish a working relationship to hopefully create a win-win situation for all involved.
After a review of information is presented to the property management team and already provided to District 8; the CIO team will then meet with the review board comprised of the CIO representative and the 2nd District grant holders and disbursement agent.
Once a decision is made in relation to any possible financial assistance for the resident; the CIO will then contact the resident and property management team to discuss possible support and next steps for support.
District 8 operates under a $2,000 cap that may only be used one time by the resident.
A resident requesting a referral for support must pay down any existing back rent balance prior to the $2,000 rental assistance being sent to the property management team.
